Newegg's Review System: Negative reviews dumped??

Exactly. To me, the reviews being there are a total waste of bandwidth.
 
I get my reviews from non-selling sites on the internet, but even then I'm careful to make sure that the website isn't affiliated with the product that I'm interested in. I do read reviews on Newegg just out of curiosity, but I don't let it affect my judgment unless there are a lot of negative reviews (although I have yet to see that happen to me). I agree with one previous post, maybe there shouldn't be reviews on online retailers, so they don't get the merchant angry at them or the consumer.
 
What about the voting? To my knowledge, they don't toss out votes, just reviews. There's some craptastic ratings for products out there and most products show a few low rating stars.
