I noticed that the new Forceware NF4 Standalone Driver Package is available from Nvidia
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp2k_6.53
This nForce Win2K/XP driver package contains the below components:
Audio driver version 4.60 (WHQL)
Audio utility version 4.51
Ethernet NRM driver version 4.75 (WHQL)
Network management tools version 4.75
SMBus driver version 4.45 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files
Installer version 4.60
Win2K IDE driver version 5.18 (WHQL)
Win2K RAIDTOOL 2.7 application version 4.82
WinXP IDE driver version 5.18 (WHQL)
WinXP RAIDTOOL 2.7 application version 4.82
I currently have 6.39 installed and am wondering what the upgrade method is for new forceware packages should be?
Should they all be uninstaled prior to installing a new release of package? Or will that cause the same problems as used to exist with nforce2, i.e. if you remove the IDE driver you get an unbootable windows.
