No custom timings in vista?

Ive installed vista on my dell 1705 (7800) and my home system (vista64 7600gt). When i go into control panel, hit advanced in display, I dont see the custom timings option, on either system. I really need this to use my 1360/768 timings for my monitor, and power strip doesnt seem to work right (it just puts 1360/768 in a 1080i timing table).

Have you installed the vista driver for your monitor?

N3251w viewsonic. It finds it, i dont think there is a driver for it. Why would i need a driver for a monitor other then to tell it what refresh rates and rez it can run at?
