Umm, I am trying to install a 120gb 7200.9 rpm Seagate HDD. I connected it to the mobo, I booted up, went into My Computer, and it only shows my IDE HDD with my OS on it. How do I just make my 120gb hdd for storage/games for performance?

/sorry for being a complete noob, but hey, you have to learn sometime.

Sorry again for my unrelenting stupidity,
Relentless.

right click my computer, manage, disk management, right click on teh new drive and create partition, do quick format

that should do it...think its right...doing off top of head

You'll need to install the drivers for the controller. This is dependent on your motherboard or offboard card; don't go to Seagate asking for help. Look at your motherboard manufacturer's website or post if you can't figure it out.

It might be worth it to look through your mobo's instruction manual as well, if it came with one.
