According to a spokesperson from HP, NVIDIA’s Big Format Gaming Displays are going to be significantly more expensive than even the most high-end monitors and OLED televisions: Hardware.info was told at GamesCom that the displays were not only delayed until Q1 2019, but that they would cost 4,000 EUR ($4,653) to 5,000 EUR ($5,816).
In January, NVIDIA announced Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGD). This new standard of monitors is to extend G-Sync HDR ecosystem into much bigger displays. The main idea behind BFGD is low latency, great color reproduction, high dynamic range, high refresh rate, and of course, a big format. The main issue though is lack of supported display connector standards.
