Whats the story with this kit on newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820227124

from reading the comments there it seems that people with ASUS mobos are having the trouble, but looking further, it seems that a guy with a biostar tforce 550 had issues.
I have been out of the hardware/enthusiast loop for quite a while now, but OCZ is generally good stuff right?

Are there any known issues with this particular model? Just compatibility issues with Asus? Any other experience with other mobo manufacturers?

Thanks!

the problem lies in the fact that ASUS were stupid and put the default Vdimm to 1.9v and that RAM and a few others requires 2.0v.

Thats the only issue, the RAM itself is actually good, it just requires more voltage than ASUS have defined in their default settings.

jedec defines 1.8v as stock voltage for ddr2. so really it would be ocz's fault for not making ram that can boot properly at default settings :p
