I'm ready to buy a good PSU right now and I've narrowed it down to these. They each have pros and cons. I've listed them in the order I'm thinking about.

SeaSonic S12 Energy Plus SS-650HT ATX12V/ EPS12V 650W
4 12V+ rails @ 18A each - mid-priced, no mod cabling
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817151028
CORSAIR HX620w ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 620W
ONLY 3 12V+ rails @ 18A each - expensive, mod cabling
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817139002
OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W
4 12V+ rails @ 18A each - cheaper, questionable quality - (why so cheap?)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817341002

Which one's better, why? Also, the Antec TRIO 650 has 3 12V+ rails @ 19A each and it is dirt cheap ($117 shipped) would this be a bad PSU? It's made by Seasonic.

The Best: Corsair 620W!

Best Bang for the Buck: OCZ GXS 700W!

All of your choices are very good PSU's! ;)

Use Google & Froogle for much lower prices!

Thanks, but why is the 620W Corsair be the best with only 3 12V+ 18A rails?

Although rated as you say, in fact up to +12V@50A is available as needed on any rail.

It is modular, beautiful, very quiet & in 3-weeks+ I have been unable to find any ultra-highend gaming PC this won't power! :D

Also it is available from only $150.

Well...

You convinved me - I just ordered the CORSAIR HX620w for $159 shipped.

WERD. Thanks for the help guys. I hope I won't have to buy new PSU for a LONG time.

Plus if anything goes wrong, Corsair will back it up with a 5 year warranty.

went from pcp&c 850 to the corsair very happy i did ,this one is a helluva lot quieter plus the modular cables makes wire management a breeze

now for the really good part you can beatup old redbeard if it does'nt work (just kidding redbeard)

That's why it's the best?

It's good (HX620.....biased too :) ) and does what it is supposed to do, quietly and without fuss

All I wanted is a PSU that'll power a single 8800GTX... and I think this will do it on my OC'd C2D rig. To late...I ordered it, hehe.

The reason as to why the OCZ and the Antec are so cheap is that they are based on somewhat lesser units than the Seasonic and the Corsair. The OCZ is not made by Seasonic at all - but FSP Group. And the Antec is based on the lesser of two Seasonic-made OEM units, with lesser-quality innards.

I'd rather not turn into a JEDIYoda/OCC_Yoda...
Agreed!

I just love this thing, however I'm sure the Seasonic M-12, on which the Corsair is based, would be about the same. ;)

My Corsair 620 was sitting on my porch when I got home from work today and I just installed it. It friggin' ROCKS. Beautiful quality. Just beautiful.

Thanks guys for the help. Now I'm ready for my G80, hehe.
