Onboard NIC not working

I have a ABIT NF7-S V2 motherboard and the onboard NIC stopped working all of a sudden. I keep getting Error Code 10 - This device cannot start

I've tried the lastest driver.
I've deleted it, but Windows XP will not even detect it on startup so I have to manually install it. But still no luck.

Any other ideas?

Worth checking, although I doubt he changed it.

It's possible the NIC died -- I've had to deploy many PCI NICs to workstations here at work due to failing onboard NICs.
