Opinions on crossfire boards...

Hello everyone, I am looking to set up 4 Samsung 930b lcd's, all with dvi. I want to purchase 2 sapphire x1800gto's for the cards. I want to know what you all think about these 2 boards to run them. It will not be for gaming, so don't worry about the sli thing.

I don't want to spend alot for this pc, trying to keep it under $150 for just the board.

the ati crossfire 3200 chipset has gained some very good reviews, read the [H]ard review of the asus board.

User expiriences have been a bit of a mixed bag, but recent bios updates seem to have ironed this out.

the main difference between the sapphire board and the abit/asus/dfi boards is the south bridge. Sapphire uses a the ATI SB450 southbridge, wich doesn't have a very good reputation.


anyhows, if you dont game you'll get overkill with any of these 4 boards, and I'm not technical enough to enlighten you on all the little technical bits, so I can't help you very much further.

personally I like the looks on this one (make sure you get a side panel )

what model motherboard is that.. looks like a sapphire pure innovation motherboard..wut model number though?
