Opinions wanted on de-lidding my 4670k....

Well, as my sig states, I am at 4.5ghz @1.26v. Temps are OK, low 80's under Prime95. My setup is quiet and I want to keep it that way.

If I delid my 4670k, what expectation could I have of the temp drop under load? It seems my chip is a decent overclocker, and if delidding would let me possibly push that overclock to 4.6ghz and perhaps even reduce temps at the higher clock...well...I think I may just get at it.

Deciding on using my AS 5 I have left or wait to get some collaboratoy liquid pro

Get something else ... AS5 is meh at this point, and there are better options.

wait for the collaboratory... i can also recommend Noctua NT-H1 and Shin etsu G751...
