Hey guys,

I have about 70 new pics that I want to upload.
But I have a measly little 10mb bellsouth account. And I can never seem to get 50 pictures to fit. And yet I see websites all the time with nice big pictures and they arent any fraction of 10mb.

So what's the deal, how can I optimize my pics easily in order to be able to fit more into my webspace.

Cause they have more than 10 megs to host images. Your gonna have to make do with what you have got.

Or you could buy more hosting space from someoneelse

i agree, image ready is the quickest way to go about doing that, call up your image and look at it in 4-up mode which will show you the levels of compression and how that effects the image. Also 70 images shouldn't be hard to fit into 10 megs.

who is your audience? most people run 1024x768 displays

so a 400 x 400 pixel image will seem to fill a sizeable chunk of the screen.

check to see that your image isn't something crazy like 1600x1200 at 72 dpi

you don't need all the info when posting on the web.

best.
