I've heard something or other about guys with 2gb getting better overclocks than guys with 4. Is this true, and if so is it a matter of having 4 sticks of ram vs 2, ie would 2 x 2gb give better results than 4 x 1gb (everything else being equal)?

Fwiw, I'll be using an IP35 Pro/Q6600/Ultra 120 Extreme combo. Also, if the above is true is it general overclocking that suffers or just extreme? I'll be happy with 3ghz and ecstatic with 3.2.

The problem usually lies in the number of sticks. However, 2gb single DIMMs in general are also known to generally have lower overclocking potential as well (in terms of pure MHz). P35 seems to play a lot nicer with 4 sticks though compared to 965 and 680i so you'll probably be fine either way you go.
