I was looking into these boards also mainly due to the fact that they support the 45nm Wofldales and Yorkfield chips from Intel. There have been alot of positive reviews on the P35 mobos. I read though that some people experience problems when you have a SATA and IDE setup. The system runs slow. Also, the ESATA and Firewire is slow. Any of you guys experience issues like this on P35 boards?

I'm doing quite well with mine. I do use my IDE and SATA at the same time. No probs there. I haven't used the firewire or e-sata. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another P35 after my experieces so far.

I own a P35 DS4 Rev 2

So far using 3 out of 8 sata ports.. i don't find any issues.. using achi native sata mode also.

As for IDE.. I have two burners ..none of them has problems burning dvds at all.

As for firewire, I've used it and it seems pretty snappy.

I think you'd be very safe to get a P35 today.. very stable board.
