so... i've gotten myself into quite a mix lately. i had some issues with my p5b deluxe wifi a few months back and bought a p5n e to hold me over for rma stuff. i was still contacting customer support and in that time of fiddling, the p5b deluxe was up and running again. then the abit fatal1ty f-i90hd came out and caught my eye because i always wanted to do core2duo matx, but my last experience was a bad one (too much of an OC nut to stay with sub 300fsb boards). so now i have 3 motherboards, but only 2 processors (e6300 and celeron 356). the e6300 is in shipping limbo as i traded my current L629 for an old L627 i sold last year. specs to give y'all an idea of what i got running (pretty much my signature)....

e6300 and celeron 356
Noctua NH-U9
2gb (2x1gb) TeamGroup DDR2 667 3-4-4-8 D9GMH
EVGA 7900 GT KO
Creative X-fi Platinum
250gb Seagate 7200.10 16mb
Seasonic M12 700w
NEC 3550a
Antec P180b
Logitech G5
Saitek Eclipse
Logitech stx webcam
Logitech z-340
Viewsonic VX2235wm 22" LCD widescreen 1680 x 1050

future planned upgrades:
x1900/1800 all in wonder, or r600 graphics card, if it's too spendy i'll fall back to a single 8800gts $350
5.1 surround system (i miss my klipsch ultras!) $200
300+gb hdd or another 250gb to run raid for the heck of it $80
TV Tuner card $50

i'd rather get another component for the computer than keep 2 extra boards around, but i'm not sure which motherboard to keep. i might fiddle with dual graphics cards, but i've never really found the need to have 2 when one was fine for my games (CSS, Company of Heroes, Rise of Legends, etc...) i've never really been a big fan of onboard sound for some reason.

abit fatal1ty f-i90hd: 360 fsb in bios
+small matx easy to carry (i bring my computer places)
+asynchronous ram/cpu fsb
+onboard hdmi
+x1250 ie. weaker x700
-unknown OC abilities
-no multiple graphics solutions
-need new hsf

p180b = +$60
p5n e = +$105
p5bDLX= +$130
SFF case= -$80
total = $215
asus p5b deluxe wifi: highest boot yet was around 370s i think (months ago) /w L629 e6300 (CPU might have been what limited me).
+fsb OC potential
+crossfire
+wifi
-not exactly stable/trustworthy because it pooped out on me before.
-synchronous fsb for memory:cpu

p5n e = +$105
abit fat= +$120
total = $225
p5n e: 375 /w ghetto e6300
+fsb OC potential
+sli
+asynchronous fsb for mem/cpu
+most money back if i sell/return the other boards
-not 16x dual but that's no biggee for me

p5bDLX = $130
abit fat = $120
total = $250

i was also thinking about buying a biostar tforce 965pt because i had a pleasant experience with that board (might do gigabyte ds3 because it was my other option before i bought the biostar). i'd get $205 back because it's the price of what i'd likely bring in for selling my p5n-e.

i've been pondering having two computers, it's actually what i want to do because i have an extra dvd drive/hdd/psu, but i know i shouldn't. what's the use of having 2 computers when i'm the only person here that uses it? oh yah... htpc :D i'm sure i'm missing things i should consider, but i'll leave that up to you all to point out to me.
