This is a problem which has been driving me insane for sometime. I have a nice watercooling setup for the CPU and cannot even overclock the damn thing.
When I go into the BIOS to overclock, I set everything up for a very mild overclock. For instance, I set my cpu to 300X9 and set the voltage to 1.375V for the Vcore. I restart, the BIOS says that I have a correct overclock which yields 2.7ghz but when I enter the bios and look at the Vcore it has gone back to Auto.
Has anyone ever seen a problem like this? I am using Asus's newest BIOS (1232). I have tried 1226, which results in the exact same problem. I CANNOT get the Vcore to stay at what I set it to!
I am about to go and purchase a new board, this problem is so irritating!
