P8Z77-V Pro and 2600k Multi wont go past 42.

Hi everyone, i just installed an Asus P8Z77-V Pro mobo to replace a H67 board (no OC) and go along my 2600k.

I updated to the lasted bios before even trying to OC so im unclear if theres an specific issue with the latest bios version.

The board will let me set the multiplier anywhere from 16 to 42 in the bios but it wont allow me to set it over 42. Not manually or using the + key and in windows using AI Suite it is also capped at 42.

Is this normal?

Now i feel stupid, i wasn't the one that bought it and apparently the CPU is not a K model. Oh well, at least got it to 4.2ghz and will upgrade eventually. Thanks!
