OK, got a DVD audio disc on order, came as a bundle with a CD I ordered. I was wondering if OS X has anything included to play DVD audio discs, (since we all have DVD players), or if there's a program to play them on the Mac? I'm hoping iTunes will just do it natively, but since I don't have any DVD audio discs, I can't test this.

Anyone know? Thanks.

I don't speak from experience, but I would be suprised if iTunes supported it, DVD Player is probably your best bet.

I don't know of any software DVD-Audio decoders or players for OS X. There are several authoring programs that could probably play back DVD-Audio ripped from a DVD-A disc, but nothing at the consumer level. Most DVD-A discs also contain a Dolby Digital (AC-3) track as well, for playback on standard DVD-Video and DVD-ROM drives. If you want to take advantage of the high resolution 24-bit/96kHz DVD-Audio track, you need to invest in a hardware player with a DVD-Audio logo on it.
