Your high paying, luxurious intarweb job awaits you.

An Internet content reviewer, Mr. Bess sifts through photographs that people upload to a big social networking site and keeps the illicit material — and there is plenty of it — from being posted. His is an obscure job that is repeated thousands of times over, from office parks in suburban Florida to outsourcing hubs like the Philippines.

Unfortunately it's a low paying job.

I wonder if they let you bring in an external hard drive to keep the best pics?

just watching the news is bad enough, doing this would suck hard for most people...

wonder what they do with child pron, I mean the stuff is illegal just to view. I imagine in a lot of cases you would be breaking the law just to do your job.

I think that law enforcement would be grateful that you are exposing someone who uploaded child porn.

I would believe that there is certain protocol/procedure for you to report it without looking like the bad guy.

My first responds was, "paid to look at porn. Here I've been doing it for free all these years like a sucker". I think it's funny that they specifically mentioned it in the article. It's true what they say, guys are pigs.

I never considered having to look at "violent" images. I think I'd be OK, but there are some pretty awful things out there, so who knows?

If it just involved looking at breasts all day and paid more, it would be my dream job. Of course, my marriage would fall apart due to all the overtime I'd be putting in.

Having seen some of what's out there, it could very well be a nightmare.

My hats off to those brave heroes who would protect us from saggy-breasted 'friends' with high self-esteem.

The violent images would do me in. I actually did this job for an adult matchmaking website while going to school (which, after a week on the job realized the website was all bots to bring in marks.)

Reviewing page after page of dudes taking pictures of their junk from every angle was enough to make me lose my lunch. I only lasted a month.

You should stay away from adult content jobs if you're comically insecure with your sexuality.
