Pondering an upgrade centered around this.

Based on currently available information, it's an ok quality motherboard. However, IMO, it's not worth getting from a price to performance standpoint since it only has four RAM slots which defeats one of the main advantages of going X99.

To me, it's only worth getting if:
1) You have major size restraints for the case
2) Your planned usage will take advantage of six cores yet...
3) Won't require more than 32GB of RAM.
4) Seriously, size trumps everything include value.
