i remember when they gave portal out to everyone who owned an nVidia card, and then to those who owned an ATi card... and i mean every single person (confirmed through steam hardware check)

those were the days... free critically acclaimed game for... pretty much every graphics card owner

edit: nevermind... nVidia users got jipped with an "extended demo" , ATi users got the full game
nonetheless they gave it out for free again later, to everyone
