well this thing runs hot as it is.....i can over clock like....540/535 and get like 6453 but thats it....the thing is like already at its limit no wonder the all the xt and the xtpe are so rare its probably hard ot get it stable at this speed

wow i had a x800 xl last week and it couldnt overclock at all man maybe 430/525 how did u get ur clocks so high especially ur memory....what kind of cooling

if it can run the benchmark at that speed, then its good enough.....

amd fx55 bfg7800 bootup speed well I did dl the latest drivers 77.77 and updated my Mobo bios and chipset drivers on the A8N SLI Premium from the Nvidia and Asus site.

I'm obviously citing the 'DDR' speed of it, since that's what *everything* else uses.

So, 1146DDR = 565. Not a LOT higher than yours.

And the cooling is an ATI Silencer, in a case with pretty decent airflow.

The stock cooling on the BBA X800XL's is ASS. Just an aluminum block under the cover, aluminum fins, etc. It desperately needed improvement. Went from 51C idle/70C load at stock clocks to 38C idle/50C load with the below overclocks.

i am red!!! w0000000tttttttttttttttttt go me go me!!!

i worked so hard for that score. 1st i got 5619, then i saw that that 2 other people had the same score, so i knew i could get a few more point. after that i got 5625 aand posted it. but then i noticed that 2 people have 2626 which is only a point higher so i tried to beat it and i did. now i have to wait for new drivers or better coolers to get higher score.
 
im goingto underclock my computer to 1337mhz and see if my 3dmark05 score goes up
 
After toasting TWO San Diego 4000s and two X800Pros, I give up. 7800GT here I come! I'm going for a Venice 3000 until my wounds heal.
 
3DMark05 Graphics Score -- 8824 using nVidia Forceware 77.77

Updated -- my machine is stable at 2744 CPU with RAM at 229 MHz. The eVGA 7800 GTX is at 489 / 1379.

CPU -- AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice DHE3. MOBO -- EPoX 9NPA-UItra
NOTE: From what I've read the EPoX 9NPA Mobo volt readings that the BIOS and utlities report are ~ .1 volt higher then they really are ...

Mentok .. my final stable score on the system == 3DMark2005 --> 8848 with eVGA 7800GTX OC at 489 /1389 with AMD 64 3000 Venice at 2760 MHz and Crucial Value RAM at 230 (460DDR) MHz. Using nVidia Forceware Drivers WHQL 77.77. Passed OCCT Test and run 3.5 hours on Prime95 Blend Torture test. Click on Picture to see details from CPU.z v1.3, Central Brain ID and 3DMark2005.

What are the details for this 8850 score?
 
Well.... did a preliminary run on my setup. This means:

1) Temporary Venice 3000 CPU (would only do 2.8ghz)
2) 7800GTX only at 529/1350 on air

Another week or so and I'll have another SD4000 and watercooling on the GTX
