Isn't the sub supposed to be on the floor?
Those are the Swan m10 speakers.
HOWEVER, the placement that ghostchild has is CORRECT. While the sub doesn't play past 100hz much, anything above 70-80hz is directional, which means the system sounds best when the subwoofer is placed directly in front of the user. The system isn't meant to play loud; it's meant to play accurately. The subwoofer isn't a subwoofer in the traditional sense of a big box that gets thrown in the corner and blows the roof off. Think of it as just reinforcing the lower octaves. If you don't have the subwoofer on the desk, it sounds like crap.
Ghost - I actually get a kick out of the reactions to your speaker setup. Maybe you should insert a notation to read your sig before responding about the "improper placement" of your speakers.Wow, people need to learn about the Swans M10 sub..... read my sig...
So, really, the Swans are pretty much a nice 2.0 system.

Trying out my Rebel XTi... here are some more artsy pics of my speakers.
I just gotta say that this system is somewhat just out of this world... I'm enjoying each minute I have with it. In the few years I've been into this stuff, it's a great feeling to finally feel content with one's system.
Athena WS-60's... Unfortunatelly, no sub right now because a shortage of cash flow since I just bought the speakers this week and the monitor last month. I am trying to find a small sub.
Why not get the Athena 4100 10" sub for $149?
How are those WS-60s in nearfield/desktop applications?
