yeah the damn wheel broke off. If I keep it in the front it isnt a problem, scooting the chair forward is a pain in the ass though. literally :p

How do you like that mouse? Thinking about picking up one for Christmas..(Well, that and a Logitech Wave keyboard)

The mouse is great. The only thing I have to complain about is the "nice" feature of the weights...I constantly find myself changing them trying to find the perfect matchup and I can't get any better in any of my games, lol. Sounds funny, but true.

Get the mouse Welsper, it has the best texture in my opinion... feels good to grip. Ah man I just realized how that sounds. :p Anyway, I picked up a Logitech Wave keyboard a few weeks back as well... feels great to type on and it's very solidly built, but I let my wife use it because she loved it, and tis the season to give (and get another keyboard for yourself;)).
They are both a great feeling product if you ask me.

Would the shape be unusual for one who's used to non-ergo keyboards?

And yes, I'll stop derailing the topic now...eheh.

As Welsper said... sorry about the topic change... but I gotta say this :D
No, that's what I thought too, but the Wave feels really good and natural and I have never liked the ergo boards... so it's good if you're coming from a regular keyboard in my opinion. The curves are implemented where the hands would naturally want to fall anyway. I definitely like it. Go to a local store if you can and lay your hands on one... then make your decision.

I'm still setting up all my new gear, but I will definitely post pics when I get it straightened up.

He has a keyboard for each comp, notice the two towers off to the left of the desk. Now the real question would be, wheres the other monitor? :D Using a switch?

I would say he use the TFT as a switch :p

if he has a VGA and a DVI-D on his tft he can use both and need to switch just with the monitor

My 2007wfp has this function, its very usefull not having to swap round connectors all the time :D

Thought I'd post a third time in this thread to show off my brand new computer. Everything in it is new except some of the RAM and one of the hard drives.

Some pictures with the system nearly complete. I hadn't done the wires yet. The 4 pins you see hanging over the CPU heatsink are gone, of course.

About to make the trip to my room with the finished product!

Good books. The Sword of Truth and Wheel of Time are two of my favorite series. Too bad about Robert Jordon.

Last time I checked, the Centurion is half the price of the P180... hardly a fair comparison!

Eh it doesn't matter, the P180 isn't all that great either, it's a pain in the ass to work in when you have a ton of hard drives and multiple video cards. Especially the original before they put all the extra wire holes in it. I've never worked with a Centurion before, but from what I've seen, it's probably a ton easier to work with.

Centurion had tool-less PCI , Harddrive, and CD-Rom slots...

You only have to screw-in the motherboard and PSU

I built 3 comps w/ Centurion 5's and installed Windows in under 2 hours... I was working on all 3 simultaneously though... so it might have taken 4-5 hours to do seperately...

I have to agree that Centurion series cases are VERY easy to work with I have two 534s , a 541 and I've owned the old school 5.

Agreed, working on my 534 Plus was remarkably simple, far more so than a 'sectioned' case like the P180 must be,

I was thinking of getting the same case... how do you like it?

It's very nice. I own two- One for my old computer which now belongs to my dad, and one for my new computer. I liked it enough to buy again. It's awesome for the 50 bucks that you pay for it. I got every part for my build brand new so nothing was put together. All in all it took about in hour from unboxing all the parts and getting the computer onto my desk. Very quick, straightforward, easy. The tool less design on the drives and the expansion slots works really good. I have no gripes about this case. It fits my 8800gt just fine if anyone is worried about space. I wish it fit more fans, but for fifty dollars, I can't really complain about that, and it keeps the 8800 and q6600 at decent temps with stock cooling, 25c idle on the cpu, 58-60 on the gpu. The CPU temps are what I'm getting from speedfan. I've heard it's off by quite a bit on the quad cores. If that's true than its still at no more than 40c idle.
