Funny thing going on. I'm working on a friends PC and it is doing the same thing. I just tried what you said said devil22 and no luck on my friends PC. The error I'm getting on his is 80070020. I'm about to lose my mind dealing with this on 2 Vista PCs. Like seriously what are the odds?

I've also tried turning off all other programs at start through msconfig. Just the bare minimum Windows services running. No dice. Please Gawd, give me a sign.

Still can't get this PowerShell 2.0 and WinRM 2.0 installed. Do I need these updates?

No, not if you don't make/run PowerShell scripts or do PowerShell remoting (for WinRM).
