Before anyone bashes me.

eBay links are allowed as long as it's BIN. My Norton 2007 seriously fubar'd a system and I knew it was time to move to a better security solution so I downloaded the trial of Kaspersky Internet Security.

Loved it as much as Norton...more infact!

Didn't want to pay $70 for a 3 computer, 1-year license (might as well continue to use Norton until my subscription runs out) so I eBay'd Kaspersky.

I found a seller in China, who is a Kaspersky reseller, who sells 1-year activation codes for less than $10.

I bought it two nights ago, around 6 hours later I had the activation key and of course Kaspesky goes online to activate itsself and obviously it worked. It showed up as "1-yr commercial license"

I honestly think it's a pretty hot deal for top notch A/V software. I know, supposedly NOD32 is the best, but I understand Kaspesky is number two.

I know there's only two listed for sale, but his feedback is strictly Kaspersky licenses for months so I bet he just adds more as they get bought up.

Kaspersky is definitely my favorite anti-virus. I picked up a boxed version of the AV 7.0 for free after rebate from Amazon.com here a few months back. Kaspersky has outranked NOD32 a number of times in tests as well so it's definitely no slouch against NOD32.

Yeah I've tried a ton of All-In-One internet security suites, and Kaspersky is my favorite by far. This is a great deal!

lol, skimped, these guys are selling free keys that were given out a whiles back, I got mine for free. Kaspersky is well worth the $10 though, these keys were given out to help get people to donate money for the natural disasters that occurred in China

I remember this thread being posted at SD awhile ago. I believe there were valid keys actually posted in that thread.

I used Kaspersky for a couple of months and everything seemed fine. I then began to get random BSODs with some gereral code, with or without Kapersky running. Could have sworn that my motherboard was at fault until, as a last attempt, I completely uninstalled Kaspersky and magically I haven't had another BSOD since.

Oh well, if they are selling free keys I hope they go to hell but 1 year for $10 I can't complain.

This is definitely smoking hot! IMO Kaspersky Internet Security is simply the best.

Agreed.

Cliff notes on the SD thread - many users had no issues at all, while others reported getting a message from Kasperky stating that the key was disabled after an update. Just a fyi.

SDUSER said:
I just got an email from Kaspersky moments after I did an update and they told me that this was an illegally obtained registration / key number obtained from china. They then disabled my copy of kaspersky and said my information has been documented.;

I paid [PayPal] with my credit card. Should any of those shenanigans occur I'll simply chargeback.

For those that have any prior version of any commercial AV soft, you can often get Kaspersky (or Norton for that matter) for free at www.frys.com, AR.

If you don't have an old version, then it's probably in 20-25 dollar range

As for what this guy is selling, more than likely he's selling one of the 3 licenses that came with the program....IOW, he buys it, sells the rights to you to install it once, and he can still install it on 2 of his machines....just a guess, but it sure does fit.

Anyway, AV software can be had for free AR almost all the time at Frys B&M and online.

There's what... 6 Fry's stores in all of the United States.

I'm sure all of us can rush out to a Fry's. Infact, I'll be visiting the Texas one today -- see you guys in about 16 hours!

I just downloaded Avira because my TrendMicro subscription expired. However, it says my PersonalEdition Classic Liscense expires on May 31, 2008? Did I do something wrong?

Perhaps if you actually read the post, you'd have noticed that I said online AND frys.com. However, if you're suggesting that Frys.com isn't accessible from your state, then I stand corrected.

Was the date set right on your computer? Redownload it. It should give you a year.

I have purchased a few 1 year Kaspersky lincense from that same seller, never had an issue. Also they send out high amusing broken english emails once you win the auction :D

Circuit City has Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 for $59.99 - $50.00 MIR = $9.99 through April 19th.

Nice deal, switched to Kaspersky after being seriously ticked off by Norton. Never looked back.

Problem with Kaspersky is the inordinate amount of popups when you run things. It makes UAC seem unobtrusive by comparison (which must explain why I havne't turned it off yet).

dude this guy got the software call KEYGEN.. he can generate many cd keys for you guy.. HACKER now day can do anything ..$10 each key.. u guy got rip off..

Thank man

I agree, even after you hit the "create a rule" option, it'll constantly prompt you for items you supposedly "created a rule for." I got sick of this prompt every time I wanted to LAN CoH so I just pause protection when gaming.

It does make UAC look like a passive kitten in comparison.
