Printer issue: Term. Serv. to 2k3 server from XP

I'm trying to get a terminal services session to a 2003 server to automatically connect to a local USB printer. On my 2000 machine it works just fine; I start terminal services, connect to the 2003 server, and the server has my USB printer available. However when I do the exact same thing from an XP workstation, the same server will not pick up the local USB printer. Any ideas?
 
most of the time i run into this, i just have to install the drivers on the server for the printer. for some of the hp multifunctions, or their personal laserjets that use a dot4 printer port (vs regular usb port, look in the printer settings) you have to change the port assignment for the printer on the local computer to usb, too.
 
I believe the local printer connect option is something that you can turn on/off at the client end. Are you certain that option is enabled on the TS Client for the XP machine?
 
Scalez got it! The server simply didn't have the drivers for this particular printer installed.
