I'm trying to detect optimal frequency with my eVGA 6800GT and when I do my system locks up or restarts. Is this normal? What is going on? What should I do?
That feature is not very stable and can be better or worse depending on what version Forceware you are using. Just for example when I use it my refresh rate goes back down to 60hz from 85hz. Personally I wouldn't worry about using that and just manually set it to ultra speeds (400/1000) and work your way down if that's not stable.
