Project Ara

I liked the idea behind this when Motorola started it a few years ago.

Mind you that this will never be as good or as efficient than what we have right now. Hopefully its cheap enough to make people want to buy it.
 
Ha-ha, yeah right. Even if there was demand they wouldn't be able to keep up with supply
 
I'd like to see Project Ara ship to see how well it works in real life, and I'd be willing to try it if there's positive word of mouth on launch. However, it always comes across as a fantasy of some hardcore PC tuners, the ones who've fooled themselves into thinking that most people care about upgradability. It involves a boatload of compromises in a small device where those sacrifices will be very noticeable.
