holy BONDO week.
Here is the DVD drive mounted in the hacked front of the original case.
Here is the rear console piece that had 2 big holes in it. I had to run a layer of fiberglass then LOADS of bondo. 3 sheets of 80 grit sand paper and 2 big blisters it was done.

I also did some modding to the doors. The fabric was in good condition but it smelled kinda funky... strip the fabrik off and VIOLA!!! a little mildew. so I stripped every piece off and sanded the living daylights out of these things. Some rust spots too and there remain a few pits from that rust but all in all I would say they turned out alright. Good enough until I can borrow my dad's power sander.
Thats it for now. Hopefully next week, I'll be tidying up the trunk with nice wiring and better amp mounting. Not to mention starting on the computer cover. I want to try and get some finer thread matte for that. Have an interesting vent planned as well for the top. 120mm fan with a little garnish over the top.
