So my old water-cooled socket 949 finally gave up the ghost, so it's time for a new computer. As much as I would have liked to tackle another water-cooling project, I just don't have the time and it was a fight to convince my wife to let me build this one anyway. So as a compromise, I'm back to air-cooling. I also wanted the ability to consolidate my PC and fruity alternative OS into one case. After finding a great deal on a Thermaltake Mozart TX, the project was born (Huginn and Muninn were Odin's two ravens that spied on Midgard for him--weak project name, but it was the best I could come up with to capture the duality of this project).

On to the pictures...
Here's the case with the HDD cage removed as I start prepping for install
Clean mobo
i5-750 and Prolematech Megahalem Rev.B installed
Prolematech Megahalem Rev.B in profile
PC side of the Mozart Tx before mobo install
...and after mobo install
...and close up (with memory and cooler installed as well--as you can see I had to go with a pull configuration on the Megahalem rather than a push--the memory cooler got in the way. I couldn't find anything definitive on the web about pull configuration, but I thought I remember from my WC days that a radiator with fans pulling air through were fractionally better than pushing...)
