For sale a sparingly used Dell Inspiron 530 desktop system with Quad Core Intel Q6600 Processor: $250 local pickup in Silicon Valley or $275 shiped.
Great box to run Virtual Machines (Quad Core with up to 8GB RAM with updated BIOS).
System is under Original Dell Next Business Day (Includes Nights/Weekends) warranty till 2/21/2012. This warranty is transferable.
Specs are:
CPU: Intel Q6600 Quad Core Kentsfield G0 2.4GHz 8MB Cache
Hard Drive: 256GB, 7200rpm
RAM: 3GB DDR2 (4DIMs)
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce 8500GT 512MB. MB has onboard graphics also
OS: Originally came with 32 Bit Vista Home. Also have 32 bit Windows 7 Dell DVD
DVD+/-RW Drive
V.92 Data Fax Modem

=>Motherboard can support up to 8GB of RAM after the 1.0.12 BIOS update. With its quad core power it is great for running virtual machines. The computer currently has the 1.0.16 BIOS
=>I work from home and this was a system I kept as a backup. It was sparingly used and looks nice and clean inside. Case has two 5.25" and one 3.5" externally accessible bays and two internal 3.5" bays for hard disks.
=>It is a 350 W (Continuous rated) power supply which is more than enough to drive low to mid range video cards
-No Keyboard or mouse.
-Graphic Card and extra 2GB RAM was installed by me and not covered under the original Dell Warranty
This is a Foxconn mobo and supposedly good for Hackintosh, Foxconn being Apple's prime contractor.
