Q9450 only detects 2 cores on P35 GA-P35-DS3P

Hi i just bought a Q9450. It only detects 2 cores in cpu-z at http://static3.filefront.com/images/personal/j/Jatt6/138714/cgsutzonlt.jpg and it detects 4 cores in device manager at http://static3.filefront.com/images/personal/j/Jatt6/138714/mqtlxafrxf.jpg . Is there something wrong with the Processor or P35 chipset not compatible. My motherboard is GA-P35-DS3P. The bios is latest F10. Thanks

Start>Run>MSCONFIG and then:

Check you BIOS and make sure that all cores and enabled. I've seen this issue quite a few times.

Finally i got to recognize 4 cores in vista x64.

first you have to do the uninstall of the cpu's and reboot. This gets Vista to see the correct hardware.
Next run Msconfig
Click on Advanced
Uncheck Number of Processors
Check HAL
Click on OK or Apply
Restart system
This got it working
