Quake4 and COD2 Crash!

I installed latest audigy2 beta and even beta nvidia drivers as well as the new nforce 6.11 drivers. I have the latest bios. I even used nvidia driver cleaner ,defragged and ran scandisk.

IN both games they lock up my pc. I can hear the sound but game locks, NO way to get back to windows. Ctrl-Alt-Delete, or windows key will not pull a window up. Only way to get out is reboot.

Anyone have this same problem?

try the regular drivers from their sites? ive done that before to get rid of probs then later on when you get the games settings to stable, driver cleaner em outta there and pop the beta drivers back on.

I had a problem like this, not with COD2 or Quake4, where the image would freeze and I could hear the game still going in the back, well mostly me getting owned. I dont have a specific answer to this, as I did a clean format and install of everything. I just got so fed up I did a good old format c:
