question about my bfg 7800 gt oc

lately i been seeing alot of talk of 7900gs and ati 1950x pro.

where does my video card stack up against these?
they sell for 200 dollars each on average.. i bought mine almost a year ago for 300.

im guessing its not good to equate price with performance since its technology.


but i am considering upgrading my video card, was looking at thenvidia 8800 gts cards for 499.

would it be better to go crossfire with 2 ati 1950 pros for 400 or less or go 8800 gts?

and would it be a visibly significant jump from my current 7800 gt oc card?

I would go for the 8800gts mainly because you get dx10 capable card. IMO there is no point to go dx9 cards now if you have that kind of money to spend

and, the gts supposedly overclock like a beast

and the 8800gts would give you quite a big performance jump over your 7800gt

The 7800GT is about on par with the 7900GS, if a bit slower. The 8800GTS would definitely be a huge upgrade over your current card, and it would be much better than two X1950Pros.
