im havign trouble getting dual channel ram to run on this board. basically when i put in a matched set of corsair value ram (1gbx2) in the color coated ram slots, it doesnt post, gives me ram error beeps. When i put them in single channel it works, but doesnt show 2gb in windows, only 1gb. a single stick will only work in the third slot, otherwise it just gives me ram error beep codes. so heres what ive tested:

Boots up sucessfully and all is hunky dory.

So does anyone know what might be the problem?
 
have you tried each stick in slot three checking to see if one if them is bad? If so I would guess your mobo is messed. Update your drivers just incase.
 
i had trouble with ram before on this board, i couldnt get 2 512 sticks to run... the problem is, i bought this used.. is there any way i can still rma it without original invoice or anything?
 
well i figured out the color coding means absolutely nothing, but this is what really confuses me...

put them in every other slot...im running 4gb on this board of corsair valueselect 1gb sticks
