Raptors wont post on my ga-8i915pl rev2

Alrighty so I completely hosed my install of Winders and I have 2 36 gig raptors just sitting here - waiting on me to get the rest of my new pc. I am not getting the new Core 2 set up for about a month so I have decided to use the 2 drives. I previously had my install of Windows on a Seagate 300GB PATA drive. So I plug in my 2 WD Raptor SATA 150 drives and low and behold - it doesn't see them. I instantly think to myself - DAMMIT BAD DRIVES! - then I take them into my roommates room and they post right up. So I go check my bios - SATA is enabled - no problems there - I have them in ports 0 and 2 on my board which is the ports that are enabled - i have even tried ports 1 and 3 and still nothing. These drives WILL NOT POST on my Gigabyte ga-8i915pl rev2 board.

Is there a setting somewhere that i am missing? I am using true sata power - not just a sata power adapter hooked up to a molex connecter since thats basically pointless since your not getting the 5V and 3.3v rails anyway.

SOMEONE HELP or I will melt down.
