Reveal only one particular hidden file

I'm a web designer/developer so I need to access .htaccess files every once in a while. Is there a way to make only these files visible and not all of the hidden/system files?

I doubt it, since all "." files are hidden and you can't just turn on visibility for one. The only way would be to save it without the dot and then each time you change it, save a copy with the dot...or just work in the command line, then it doesn't matter.

That stinks. I was hoping there would be a file some where that specifies what all of the hidden files are.

You can always use the command line to access them.

Why not make an alias to the file?

What I do is use an ftp program to get to the files locally. Not a great solution but it works.
