Router/Network name question.

Hi, I never really payed much attention to it before until now. When I hover over my network it says (Currently connected to linksys.) However when I connect to it wirelessly it says (Currently connected to "Networknamehere/routername.")

I swear ever time I connected before cat-6 it said the network name until I reset it last night. I went back in and entered everything.... maybe it's always like this, but I never payed attention to it?

It's a WRT54g2. Any advice to my concerns would be appreciated! Thanks!

Windows Vista?

IIRC you can change the network name in the netwrok and sharing center. Vista will recognize it as a different network name if it's wireless and wired connection.

Your router has a host name, change that.
