Ok, so I have a wireless router (D-Link WBR-1310), serving 3 laptops (wifi) and 2 dekstops and a 360, splitting an 8mbps cable connection.

My sister has just came back from the cottage, and she can no longer connect to the family wifi. It connects to network, but says "local only" connection, with no internet.

The wifi settings in laptop have been unchanged, and i haven't touched router either. My mom's laptop can connect to the family wifi without a hitch. My sisters laptop can connect to other wifi networks in the building without any problems either and gets access to the internet from them, but not from the family wifi.

I tried the following:
1. Cold reseting the router and cable modem.
2. Uninstalling/reinstalling the wifi card in my sisters laptop.
3. ipconfig /release + ipconfig /renew on laptop
4. Netsh winsock reset on laptop
5. Reverting the modem to factory settings

None of the steps fixed the problem. My sisters laptop still cant connect to the internet through the family wifi. It can get to the internet through other wifi networks.

What else can i do.

My sisters laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1450 with a Dell Wireless Card (1320 i think, can't remember for sure, i'll update when i get home)

Do you have MAC filtering on?
Do you have a number of IP addresses assigned?

Maybe she can't connect due to not having enough Private IPs.
