RUN - Ipconfig command not working

For some reason whenever I try to run ipconfig, once i hit enter, the window pops up for like a milisecond and then goes away. Never had this happen and can't find anything about it on the net. There's no error message or anything like everyone else who's had a problem with it,

Any thoughts ?

edit - even tried the full command, c:\Windows\System32\ipconfig.exe, still same problem.

Its because its suppose to run in CMD window. RUN-CMD-Enter-IPconfig.

yep, run from a dos prompt.

ok so that worked, thanks, but the reason I was doing this, was cause I need to find my port number, and I was told I can find it that way. Been a long time since I needed to mess with any of that, so I have no idea how to find it, and a google search told me i would find it there. Found everything but that.
