Running USB Headset and Standard Speakers?

Is it possible to have all my sound come out of both my USB headset and my 5.1 speakers (in standard audio jacks)? I just want to be able to turn the 5.1's volume off if I need to, or turn the headset's volume off if I need to. Am I screwed?
