I'm watercooling an x1800XL, and I'm getting some very nice overclocks, but the power regulators are getting very hot (80-90 oC). I guess they're missing the airflow from the stock cooler. What is the maximum safe temp for those chips?
i would say.. look atthe voltage regulartors part number.. and see if you can find a data sheet on that regulator online (data sheets are pretty easy to find for parts)
and look up the max temp on the sheet..
but.. do not look at the absolute max ratings.. look at the regular opration temp max.. though the absolute can give you an idea of how hot you want to let it get.. i dont know.. that would be my guess..
