SD card for Tomtom: Necessary?

Hey, I just purchased a Tomtom GO 630 and I was considering adding in an SD card, but I can't think of a reason why I'd need to. What is it used for exactly? I've read you can put maps, voices, etc on the card, but if there's room in the internal memory, is there a point? I know on this particular model I could have text files, images, and music, but I'm not about to get a card just for that. Is there faster loading or something?

AFAIK, SD card will not effect in any way on your GPS.
(maybe it will, if you're going to blow youre internal memory with a lot of files)

If you're not thinking about adding music and pictures (I find it unnecessary at all. this is not the purpose of the GPS) - you don't need to add an SD card.

No other reason to get a card. not worth it.
