Gut it and use the drive, or just as a cheap redundant backup? 2Tb for $109 shipped is the best deal I have seen in a while.

Makes me so happy to know that I bought 2 Samsung F4 drives about this time last year for $79ea. Damn tsunami set HDD prices back a year.

This is WAY to much for what a friend is looking for but, for that price... he can't go wrong.

Refurb for starters, plus it seems like externals have a higher failure rate for some reason too. I'd hold off unless needed.
