Currently own a TT 420 Watt Pure Power and it is louder than I would like out of my 24/7 system. The Seasonic seems to be the quieter of the two, but is it reliable and does it perform well enough to out compare the Enermax?

If you have other reccomendations, please add to the assistance.

Thanks a ton in advance, guys :)

S12 is a silent monster watt, if thats the criteria its hard to beat
its also considered state of the art w\ 83% efficiency peak,
(but the effciency band is much broader than the enermax too)
compare Mike Chins charts on the respective reviews
Lee Garbutt demonstrates it exceeds spec for AC Ripple. and bith show its relatively stable supply again exceeding spec

lol, when is well made, efficient, silent, and powerful not the criteria?

seasonic's silence is due to their excellent efficiency, which is at the top of the industry. the less heat produced in the ac/dc conversion, the quieter the ps can afford to be. seasonic also uses very quiet fans, which are rubber mounted to help reduce vibrations and noise

whenever power quality, longevity and reliability outweight the need for silence ;)
(as a rule of thumb every 10C you drop buys you 100% increase in life expectancy)
efficiency is just one component of getting there

for the Seasonics SS-600HT
4% load regulation exceeds spec
as does
40mV on the +3.3V & +5V
60mV on the +12V for ACRipple

but thats not 1% load regulation and 10mV across all the rails ;)
not that you couldnt mod a PCP&C to be silent
but they certainly dont ship that way :p

the S-12 series are all 80 Plus certified

SS-300SFD

SS-400HT

SS-500HT

SS-600HT

Does Seasonic make any PSUs that have 6 pin power connectors for PCIe video cards?

I know at least the S12's do.
