I've had my speakers for about a year now, and just by listening to a $300 HT (Receiver, Speakers, and Sub), I can tell a difference in sound quality. The Z-5500's aren't that enjoyable to listen to anymore. The sub cannot go very low, and the speakers have no midrange. I don't know, I might be turning into an audiophile.

Now what I want to do is make at least enough money to buy me these babies:

And later on an amp.

So how much do you think I could get from these on ebay or other.

i did the same thing... i picked up the 680's when they cam out and it was unbelievable what i got for the price. after buying some cheap bookshelves the sound was brand new. when i blew the amp up (my fault) i bought a receiver and realized despite being a great value they dont stand up to a setup of components. lots of money later i ended up with what is in my sig.

i only use this setup for movies and games, for music i use my IEM's. cans for me are not fun to listen to so i continue to dump my wallet in theater stuff. have a listen before you buy.
