Amazon lightning deal good for the next 3 hours. Sennheiser HD 380 headphones for $99. According to camelcamelcamel, this is about $15 below the previous lowest price which makes it seem like a reasonably good deal.

Not bad. Same price as the HD280s, and should be a fair bit better. Even the HD280s are a decent can at that price, if you need something closed back and easy to carry.
 
u use the 595s anything is is a huge step down imo. But as every 595 user i would appreciate more bass.
 
Picked these up from BB last year at this price, great cans! Best I have ever owned! :cool:

Different cans for different uses. You're paying for noise isolation and portability (when they're off your head) with the 280/380s. You pay for none of that with the 598/600s; just sound.

With the deals that are available now, if you just want the best sound for your money, buy the 600s. If you need the isolation of a closed back can, consider the 380s, Momentum, or a Denon can if you can spend a bit more.
 
380s are excellent! Very deep clean bass, good highs and mids. For $99 they are a steal!
