setting up an already-installed XP to hibernate

To make a long story short, when I installed my XP system I did it on a disk that was already mostly occupied with a Linux system, and only had room for the main partition, no hibernate partition. Now, I'm getting ready to remove Linux from that disk, and I'd like to enable hibernation in XP. But what exactly do I have to do? I presume I need to use fdisk to mark one of the partitions as a hibernation partition, but what filesystem? And do I need to change anything in XP to let it know that there's a hibernation partition available?

I do not believe you can set XP to place the hibernation file on a partition other than the main OS partition.
