i just got a shuttle an35 ultra motherboard. the only thing i can really get out of it is long continuous beeps. once randomly it booted fine ( after doing nothing different) i set the bios fsb speed up ( not overclocked ) then saved, it rebooted again, so i started to install windows and at the first boot it had to do it went back to it's long beeps.
i have swaped processors and video cards, with ones pulled from working boxes.
i removed it from the case and set it up on the motherboard box.
i have two sticks of new kingston value ram 2700, i had it set up for dual chanel, but tried each stick in the single channel only slot too.
and tried two other powersupplys.
reset the bios jumper about 20 times.
i have never delt with ddr or nforce chip sets before this so i can only hope i am missing something, if not the mobo must be bad.
i looked up the beep code it is a memory error and i read on some other forums that this board can have problem with cheap memory, but tons of people suggest it for budget systems.
i am lost, any feedback would be appreciated
