i ran across this the other day and got one myself, the display isnt as big as others, but you cant beat the price, it made a nice addition to my case.

I see that it is connected through parallel. Will I have to run a cable out the back to plug it in?

Crappy display. Tiny size. Go to matrixorbital.com or crystalfontz.com and get a USB one for about the same price. Add in a floppy-to-fullsize bay adapter, and you're good to go.

Yes, you'll need to run a cable out the ass, flip it around and plug it into the LPT port.

Don't get me wrong, it's a DECENT display, perfect for the beginner modder. But for $55.00, no thanks.
